At Primavera, we are excited to welcome 2015! But before we move on to the new year, we want to take some time to reflect on 2014.

Last year, we had several milestones that brought in a lot of new resources for our students. Whether you were looking for more social interactions or help with your academics or college resources, Primavera brought more opportunities to you.

    Social Milestones

  • All School Events
In October, the Student Government Club kicked off its first All School Event: a fun, quarterly activity for all Primavera students, families and friends to attend. These events ranged from visiting the horrifying Fear Farm to a more lighthearted Phoenix ZooLights outing where students got to meet each other and enjoy a fun night out. Be sure to look out for future All School Events happening throughout 2015!
  • New Clubs
To help you meet more students with similar interests, we created new clubs and expanded our existing ones. In August, we created the Manga & Anime Club where students with a passion for the Japanese arts meet to discuss favorite movies/comics and create their own Fanfiction stories and artwork. The S.H.H.A.D.E. (Students Honoring, Helping and Accepting Differences in Everyone) Club changed its name to the Gay-Straight Alliance and the Book Club added writing to their description. The Photography Club changed to the Art Club so more students could meet each other and share their talents. For more information on student clubs available to you and how to join, click here.
  • New Blog Series
In 2014, we also created a few new exciting blog series that feature our very own Primavera Panthers! We brought on the Panther Post where you can read work from Primavera students as well as submit your own work to be featured. For our other talented students who may not be writers or artists, we have Student Spotlights  to highlight them as well. In addition, we now have the Art Club’s Corner where Art Club members showcase their amazing artwork.

Academic Milestones

  • 2014 Digital Fair
Last fall, we launched our first-ever Digital College Fair. Throughout the entire day, we had several different universities, community colleges and trade schools presenting live through the PSP for our students to learn more about their programs and ask important questions. Stay tuned this spring for more information on our upcoming Digital Career Fair!

The new year is a great time to reflect on the past and set new goals for yourself. Whether your goals are to be more socially involved or improve academically, we have the resources for you to accomplish your goals.

We look forward to a new year with our Primavera Panthers!
