We understand that socialization is an important part of the high school experience. Primavera has created the following academic clubs to help our students connect with other students as well as our staff. Clubs look great on your resume and your college applications, getting involved can get you a step up on your future.

Student Government (STUGO) is a student-led club, which will focus on the importance of leadership and responsibility. All members will be involved with a number of events and activities throughout the year such as: community service, social event planning, and brainstorming a potential Primavera mascot. Members will also have the opportunity to nominate and elect one another for club leadership positions. This prestigious club is a great resume builder, and to be considered for membership, students must maintain a good academic standing. Do you often ask yourself how or why things happen? Do you enjoy doing experiments? You just may have a love for all things science! Those interested in the Primavera science club will be excited to learn that we will be observing many things that happen in the natural world. The club will investigate topics in astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, earth, ecology, genetics, medicine, microbiology, physics, physiology, seismology, zoology and more! We will explore multiple areas of science in an effort to better understand the how and the why of the way things work. Students will be doing amazing experiments each month to learn from the world around us. The experiments are fun and involve household items or inexpensive easy to find materials. We will use technology such as videos and interactive virtual labs to better understand the concepts we are exploring. Club members will have the opportunity to participate in blogs, discussions over our topics, and share projects they have done. We will have an interactive course you can participate in weekly and a monthly meeting in an online live classroom. Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. Being a key club member allows you to gain community service experiences that future employers and colleges are looking for. The Key Club will hold online meetings and support community service projects throughout the state each month. Students will have the opportunities to hold club officer positions and travel to local and national Key Club events. Are you interested in delving into the culture of Spanish-speaking countries? Would you like to learn more about music, food, and lifestyle of these countries? Come and join the Spanish club! We’ll have meetings twice a month for all members to practice the Spanish language and enhance cultural knowledge. Our meetings will be interactive, where you will have the chance to share information about cultural topics with fellow club members. Thinking about college? Want to learn more about careers that interest you? Club ASU is for everyone who wants to learn just how cool and fun college is! Club ASU is a unique and fun way for middle and high school students to set a path for college and a career. You will explore careers that interest you, learn how to get into college, tour the ASU campus, and attend ASU events. If you haven’t looked into college before, now is the perfect time to start thinking about your future. Our goal is to provide you with the fundamental information necessary to help you achieve your goals. You love to write and fantasize about becoming a script writer, novelist, or world renowned blogger but need a little direction. Welcome to Primavera’s Creative Writing Club where we study the elements and processes of writing, as well as the forms, styles, and languages of literature! Our club is a great way to advance your writing skills in a structured and collaborative environment. Members will be expected to, both, provide and receive feedback on writing samples, incorporate step-by-step tutorials into assignments, and participate in group writing projects. Get Fit Primavera is our health and fitness club which provides students information on health/fitness as well as opportunities to volunteer and participate in local fitness events. Students who join Get Fit Primavera will be invited to attend hikes, sporting events, and foot races (5K, 10K, or half marathon). Students will also learn techniques to improve their fitness level and general health (including weight loss) and strategies to inspire health in their households and communities.
