The Manga & Anime Club is a place where Primavera students with a love for the Japanese arts can connect with each other and read or watch their favorite stories. This month, club member Mina Black created her own Fanfiction pieces from some of her favorite Anime shows and Manga comics. Today, we’re featuring just a few of her many amazing artwork pieces.
This first Fanfiction piece is one of Mina’s favorite drawings. Mina said she loved the way the colors looked together.
“This picture reminded me of the elements Water and Ice. The color blue is my favorite in this picture ^_^”
The next piece is inspired from the Japanese light novel series “Anime Sword Art Online,” a thrilling love story where characters find themselves trapped in a virtual game world and risk their lives to find a way out.
“I loved the colors they had in the show which were greens, blues and purples. And their battle scenes are AMAZING!”
Last is a very unique drawing inspired from a movie called “Upside Down,” a story about a girl who leaves her underground civilization, and after falling into a deep pit, finds a boy who lives in an upside down world. In her fanfiction piece, Mina used a lot of symbolism. One of the most apparent is the thread between the boy and the girl, which is known as The Red Thread of Fate that “binds the two lovebirds together” as Mina said.
