Hey Panthers! A unique scholarship opportunity is here and you could qualify.

Kaplan University and The American Freedom Foundation have teamed up to bring an academic scholarship looking to help family members of current and prior U.S. military service personnel in achieving their educational goals.

The 2015 Kaplan University/American Freedom Foundation Military Family Scholarship Program is looking to award a total of 900 partial tuition scholarships to students who qualify and are to complete an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility:

    • Be a family member of a current or prior U.S. military service member
    • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher (on a 4.00 scale) from high school or prior college
    • Be a new student to Kaplan University

The application website opened on December 8, 2014 and will remain open until 900 partial-tuition scholarships are awarded, or the 2015 campaign closes on Friday, October 30, 2015 (whichever occurs first). These scholarships will be offered on a first-to-apply, first-eligible basis so if interested, you are encouraged to complete an application soon.

The scholarships will cover over 50% of the tuition costs for attendance at Kaplan University but there will also be 20 full scholarships (covering all tuition and fees) to be awarded from qualified partial scholarship recipients.

*Partial tuition scholarship recipients who complete their first term at Kaplan University with a CGPA of 3.90 or higher will automatically be considered for a full tuition and fee scholarship. One full scholarship will be awarded for every 50 partial-tuition scholarships awarded.
