The Panther Post features talented Primavera students with a love for the arts. For our December piece, we have an inspirational poem by Book Club member Maighan Hall.

This poem is about something I am really passionate about. I don’t like the idea of “liking/sharing” something on Facebook when it practically threatens me to do so. I know who I am and who I can become, and no one will ever take that away from me.

Like it or Else

The Likes! The Posts! The endless Shares!
You know who you are, so who else cares?
This continuous trap of Like it or else!
Keeps us from knowing the truth for ourselves.
Share this post of an inflicted baby,
or else, for sure, Jesus Christ won’t save thee.
Share this post of a joke so funny,
or else, you’re saying, you don’t love Mummy.
Comment below what you believe is right,
or else, you really don’t know the light.
Comment below how we are best friends,
or else there’s the hate that everyone sends.
Like every post or you’ll be forgotten,
and you’ll turn to a monster so evil and rotten.
I really don’t Comment; there’s really no Shares.
All of my life I’ve known who cares!
Jesus Christ is my Savior; He is my friend.
He’s given me a life that will never end!
Those who I love know that it’s true,
because I actually say, “I love you!”
Your life is short, so Like it up!
Yet all of this isn’t worth a cup.
Don’t believe all the lies; look and see.
Even if the world cries, “Don’t you believe me?”
You know who you are! Don’t you care?
There’s a continuous snatch of Like it and Share.
This on going trap of Like it or else!
Really keeps us from knowing the truth for ourselves.

We want to hear from you!
