As you already know, the theme of this year’s prom is Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! The attire for prom is formal, but students and guests are welcome to incorporate the theme into their outfits. One way to add a touch of Wonderland is to wear Cheshire Cat ears! Follow our simple steps to customize your ensemble for the big night.

Items Needed:

  • Two sheets of construction paper (different colors)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Two bobby pins

    Step 1

    Cut Fold one sheet of the construction paper in half (this will be the primary color of the ears). Cut out a triangle leaving the crease connected and the top tip at the opening. Repeat for the second ear.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     Step 2

    Cut two smaller triangles out of the second sheet of paper and glue one to the front of each ear. Add a dot of glue between the folded triangles near the top point and press the two sides together, leaving an opening along the inside crease.

     Step 3

    Allow the glue to dry, then slip a bobby pin through the opening of the inner crease, and fasten the ears in your hair!
