Where did you attend college? My BA in Teaching Elementary and Special Education (k-12) is from Arizona State University. My MAEd is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology and backward design, is from University of Phoenix.
What subject(s) do you teach and why? I teach math, because I LOVE it. I also help the students who qualify for special education services to successfully make individual education plans to be successful in all their courses at Primavera, again because I love it. I have wanted to be a teacher since before I started school. I considered some other careers but never anything seriously. I have been teaching since 2004 and I can’t imagine doing anything more rewarding!
What do you enjoy doing outside of school? I go to a lot of classic car shows, play with my 3 dogs, and hang out with my family and friends.
Do you have any advice to help students succeed in an online high school? Work every day and talk to your teachers. If you have questions talk to your teachers more!
What is your favorite book/movie? My favorite movie is called “The Power of One”.
What are 3 things you absolutely cannot live without? I cannot live without my pets, my family, and my friends. I realize that is more than three things technically but it’s three categories!! If I had to choose just 3 things it would be 1-my cell phone, 2-my car, 3-my computer.
What is your favorite dessert/food? My favorite dessert is Cinnamon Swirl ice cream.
