This week’s teachers spotlight features Ms. Massalha,a world history teacher for Primavera Online High School. With a degree in Anthropology, Ms. Massalha loves to take her students on a virtual time travel to all different parts of the world. She provides them with a full tour on what each place is about and why they are significant. While helping students better understand world history in a positive way, She does such and amazing job that she inspired a student to become an archeologist.
Ms. Massalha discovered Primavera while looking for an alternative school for her daughter. She thought it would be a great opportunity for her to have one- on- one interaction with her students’ verses your typical high school. She was pleased with the optimistic energy that Primavera had to offer. It brings her great joy being able to work next to other teachers that all share the same interest.
While away from work, Ms. Massalha enjoys spending time with her children watching sitcoms. In her free time she enjoys writing short stories. She currently has a short story in the making and hopes to get published. Stay tuned.

Where are you from originally?
Ms. Massalha: I was born in Idaho, but I must have been Asian in a past life because I am always drawn to Asian cultures.
What is your favorite band or type of music?
Ms. Massalha: Jazz and alternative. Melody Gardot is highest on my list of what to listen to lately.
What is your favorite Sports team?
Ms. Massalha: The soccer team from Siena, Italy, even though they are not the best team. I lived in Siena for awhile, so they kind of feel like my home team.
Do you have any pets?
Ms. Massalha: We have a family cat; it is actually my daughters cat but we all help to care for her and she likes attention from all of us.
What are two things on your bucket list?
Ms. Massalha: 1.To write a novel
2.To travel the world.
