This week, we are honored to introduce Corey McCutchan as Primavera’s Teacher Spotlight. His outstanding efforts to empower his students through virtual education had made a big difference among students all over our state. Mr. McCutchan uses multiple techniques to motivate his students. One technique in particular that he uses is comparing writing projects to movies. This helps students gain a vivid picture of what he is trying to explain.
Once he finished up his teaching degree at Arizona State University Mr. McCutchan started his career at Primavera as a Student Advisor. After working at Primavera for 6 months, he applied for a social studies teaching position. Mr. McCutchan was soon hired in July of 2012. When we asked Mr. McCutchan what he looked forwarded to when starting his first teaching position, he replied, “I was looking forward to finally helping students be successful and enjoy learning.”

Mr. McCutchan I was born in Arizona, but I moved around every 3 years on average growing up. Upon settling in Colorado in high school I fell in love with the area and never felt more at home.
Two things on your bucket list:
Mr. McCutchan Skydiving, and I want to visit a new country every year once I am settled and able to save money.
