Nick MehalechkoAt Primavera, we strive to find extraordinary teachers. For this week’s Teacher Spotlight, we found just the one. Mr. Mehalechko is an adequately inspired English teacher at Primavera. Mr. Mehalechko captivates his virtual classrooms with humor and laughter to motivate his students to succeed in their courses.

While Mr. Mehalechko was completing his teaching degree at Arizona State University, he came across Primavera at a job fair. According to him, he didn’t discover Primavera, Primavera discovered him. Mr. Mehalechko says he couldn’t be happier working with students in a virtual environment. In his Interview, we asked Mr. Mehalechko to tell us a time when he reached out to a student. His response? “At Preview Primavera last spring, a student was about to trip over a chair, so I reached out to stop him from falling”.

Mr. Mehalechko: The Reno Aces baseball team.

Mr. Mehalechko: Legal ones? No…

Cat or dog person?

Mr. Mehalechko: Cats have launched a war against me since I was 3 years old. Only dogs have stuck by my side to protect me from those ferocious felines.

Favorite band or type of music?

Mr. Mehalechko: The Alpine Squeeze (Polka Band)

From originally?

Mr. Mehalechko: Mentally I was born hundreds of thousands of years ago, but this body is originally from Phoenix, AZ then transported to Post Falls, ID when I was 6 years of age.

Two things on your bucket list?

Mr. Mehalechko: An excavator bucket and a 19th century leather fire-bucket.
