This week’s Teacher Spotlight, is Ms. Thompson an Inspiring science teacher for Primavera Online High School. Ms. Thompson’s love for science is in part due to her strong interest to do projects that require hands on experience its takes to complete them. Ms. Thompson loves dedicating her time at primavera, because she truly enjoys the interaction she has with her students. Keeping in communication with her students, she truly gets to better understand and evaluate her student’s needs. For example if a student has other obligations, Ms. Thompson will work with the student to find what they need to do in order to complete the course. Under certain circumstances, Ms. Thompson will provide an extension to those who show a continuous effort to complete the course. The reason she does this to make sure they can pass the first time. She feels there is no need to repeat a course if a student can complete the first time. To greater her teaching style Ms. Thompson uses Adobe sessions to her advantage, to complete their course. She uses it to better explain projects so that students fully understand what is being asked of them.

What is your favorite sports team?
Ms. Thompson: I love watching the Golf Channel- where my husband and I follow athletes and their careers.
Do you have any pets?
Ms. Thompson: Two dogs, Max & Lucy. Max is a Situzu Mix 3 ½ years, Lucy Lhasapsa. They are both rescue animals.
What hobbies you have?
Ms. Thompson: Reading. Currently reading a book called “I’m Not A Fan” by Kyle Idleman.
Where did you attend college?
Ms. Thompson: Went to Brockport State University, New York, and Potsdam State University, New York.
What are two things on your bucket list:
Ms. Thompson: 1. Mediterranean cruise.
2. Pay off debt.
