If you have brothers or sisters, chances are that at one point, you probably put on a spectacular pretend performance for your parents, equipped with a paper towel roll microphone, an awesome ‘air guitar’ and maybe even pots nad pans to serve as your drum set. One set of siblings here at Primavera had the chance to transform the make believe performances into a reality, now a band you may have seen on YouTube.

When Ari, Sela and Alex Poulos were just eight years old, their grandmother took them to a music store, where they instantly found the instruments they’ve each come to love: Ari with the guitar, Alex on the keyboard and Sela playing the drums.

“When our grandma took us to a store called Candyman, we were excited because we thought it was a candy store,” Ari said. “But it was actually a music store and we were still excited about that. After that, we put our instruments together and we just started vibing out and that’s when we started our band.”

Since then, the triplets have continued their love for music. By the time they turned 13, they knew they wanted to become professional singers. That’s when they started their band– Just Seconds Apart, named for the amount of time each sibling was born from each other.

Once they started getting more hits on YouTube and recording professionally, balancing school life and their band became a challenge. They decided to look for an alternative solution and found Primavera Online High School.

“We started taking it really serious about two years ago when we were 13 and that’s when we found Primavera,” said Sela.

“We just wanted to find an online school that could really help us fit in our schedule,” added Alex.

The triplets have been able to find a great balance with Primavera through a set routine of school in the morning and rocking out in the afternoons.

“What we usually do, is we wake up and do our school in the morning and then we like to go to our studio here and just practice, so we can still do our school and do our music too during the day,” said Alex.

“There’s no distractions so you can just sit in your room alone, just focusing on school…we can fit all that in with Primavera so that’s great,”– Sela.

“We’d like to thank Primavera, because they’ve really helped us achieve more in music,”– Ari.

“Primavera is perfect,” – Alex.
