//Get Fit Primavera – Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon 2012
Early Sunday morning, January 20th, Primavera’s Get Fit club gathered to volunteer at the PF Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in Tempe, AZ.
We organized a water station and were placed on North 75th Street and East McDowell Road. Our volunteer team, “Team Primavera,” consisted of 30 volunteers and 4 students that brought awesome friends.
One of our student volunteers was so excited about the opportunity saying, “I can’t believe how much ‘Team Primavera’ accomplished! I really enjoyed the opportunity to build teamwork through volunteering and assisting in a wonderful event.”
We had an amazing time and were so excited to be able to help all athletes racing that day. One of the funniest things our volunteers said about this opportunity was that “On the fun scale of 1-10, volunteering at the water table at this half-marathon race would definitely have to be considered a 13!”
