This past week, we posted a comic strip contest for students to enter to win Comicon Tickets, and received some incredible submissions! From Cat’s Kingdom to a customized comic about the Primavera Learning Center, we were blown away with the results we got! Check out our winner’s submissions below.
Phoenix Comicon Festival Ticket Winners
Alexi S., 9th Grade
Alexi decided to take an angle showing off one of her favorite things: cats and dogs. In this comic, she helps bring together the two natural enemies.
Isabelli E., 8th Grade
This exceptionally animated series shows the struggle all of us with younger siblings understand. After creating a pristine model, little brother comes to destroy the day.
Seneca S., 12th grade
Seneca also decided to portray the fun struggles of having younger siblings. But in this case, the older sibling’s got the upper hand.
Jacqueline T., 8th Grade
Jacqueline is an 8th grade student who also attends programs at the Primavera Learning Center in Chandler. For all who attend, they can easily relate to the fun humor within this comic strip.
Congratulations to our winners! They received tickets for single day entry to the Phoenix Comicon event happening this June 2–5. Students, if you are planning to attend Comicon this summer, don’t forget to look for the green Primavera tent! We will be there the entire weekend, so be sure to come say hello and meet your fellow Panthers while you’re there.

@Isabelli I know the struggle of building with Legos then someone comes along and destroys it *stares at cousins as they slowly set my Lego creation down and wak away*
I really like Senecas art style. Plus, I can relate to being like the older one(in my case older cousin) and reading a scary book, or watching a scary movie with them.
