Scholarship Details: Full tuition, books, and a living allowance

Deadline: April 1st, 2013

Who can apply?

  • Incoming freshman or continuing students ages 18-25, raised through the child welfare system** and having no form of financial support. A person who has experienced time in the child welfare system may have lived in an institution such as a group home, child protection agency, special facility for children, and/or with a foster family.
  • College-age youths and adults with physical disabilities**
  • Adults 25 years of age or older who have dependents in their family unit**
  • *Scholarship award amount varies based on student’s cost of attendance and financial need as determined by ASU and FAFSA.

What are the criteria?

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must have applied to ASU for admission before applying to this scholarship
  • Be a U.S. citizen and resident of Arizona
  • Be working toward their first college degree
  • Have no more than 24 college-level, degree-applicable credits (completed and current)
  • Demonstrate financial need, as determined by FAFSA

Additional Information

  • All applicants must be admissible to ASU and must apply for FAFSA
  • Transcripts and documentation of qualifying criteria may be mailed to the ASU Nina Scholars office
  • All supporting documents and online recommendations – also available at Nina website – must be received by deadline
