At Primavera, we want our students to thrive in the online high school environment. That’s why we provide special resources that allow our students to graduate with even more than an accredited diploma. In this blog series, we highlight one of our many resources.

One of Primavera’s best resources is our very own instructors! As many of you already know, our teachers care about your education and go the extra mile to make sure you get the personal support you need.

How to Find Your Guidance Counselor and Teachers’  Contact Information

There are many different ways to contact your teachers! Before we go into the details, here’s some instructions on finding the contact information for your teachers.

  • First, log in to your Parent Student Portal (PSP) and pull up the home page.
  •  Click on the person iconin the top-right corner.
  • From there, you will see a drop down menu with all of your teacher’s contact information for your current courses, as well as your guidance counselor’s information.

Five Ways to Keep in Contact With Your Teachers

1. PSP Chat
One of the easiest ways to talk to your teacher is simply to send a PSP chat message. If your teacher is online (there will be a green light next to the name), you can get immediate responses to your questions. If the instructor is offline, you can always send a message anyway and the teacher will respond once he or she is online again.

2. Email
Sending your teacher an email is another quick and easy way to communicate for questions that can wait for a 24–48-hour turnaround on response time. We do not recommend this method of communication for immediate needs.

3. Phone Call
In almost any situation, a phone call is the best way to get immediate help. Did you know that every teacher at Primavera has a direct phone line? Instead of having to call our main line and going through all the options, you can directly call your teacher’s personal work phone. Don’t forget to leave a voicemail including your callback number if your instructor does not answer so they can get back to you as soon as possible. To find your teacher’s direct line, follow the instructions above on finding contact information through the PSP.

4. Online Tutoring Sessions
If you are looking for additional help on any subject, our instructors hold open online class tutoring sessions for you to join your classmates and ask questions. You can find more information on this within your course announcements.

For students needing one-on-one support, you can always set up a personal tutoring session with your teacher online. To set up a personal tutoring session, contact your teacher and set up an appointment. From there, you will be able to communicate and get any questions you need answered so you can do well in your courses.

5. In-person appointments

If you live within driving distance of the Primavera office in Chandler, you can always try setting up an appointment with your instructor for some in-person support.

Why Constant Communication is Important

Constant communication with your instructors is key to achieving academic success. If you do not reach out to your teachers, they can’t know what’s going on in your life or  help you to the best of his abilities, as one of our math instructors Mr. Walter Allen said.

“Any student who is invested in their education experience must speak up. While we try our best to help every student in any way we can, the chances of meeting personal concerns rise to a far greater level when students reach out to the teacher,” said Mr. Allen.

Remember, our teachers are here from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and are always happy to help you during business hours. We hope you take advantage of all the communication systems available to you.
