For all of you Primavera Panthers who are anime fans, we’ve got good news: We now have a Manga and Anime student club!
Meet the club advisor:
Primavera instructor and fellow manga/anime enthusiast Jamal Arberry started the club this year for Primavera fanatics like him to meet each other and enjoy watching, reading and discussing manga and anime together.
In this club, students will get to enjoy the classics like Akira and Zoids Genesis, and will be introduced to new popular hits. At the end of the school year, students will work together to create a fanfiction for their favorite manga or anime.
On top of the monthly Adobe sessions, students will get to attend events too, such as a movie screening at Downtown Mesa’s Gotham City Comics & Coffee, and even have the option to hold fundraising events in order to attend the Phoenix Comicon in May. Whether you are a devoted manga and anime fan or are interested in learning about the Japanese art, this club is a great way for you to engage in your hobby while making friends along the way.
The Manga & Anime Club meets online every second Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. starting October 8. For more information, email [email protected].

Wow, this sounds pretty cool, would love to join.
This club looks really fun but do you have to know how to draw to join the club. And what if you don’t know any of the classic’s.
Hi Jada! Thank you for the comment! You can contact the club advisor at [email protected] for more information ๐ Have a great day!
This right up my son’s alley. I wish it were open to students outside the school. He writes fan fiction in his spare time and has a collection of manga. He plans to attend University of Hawaii to major in Eastern Asian studies. Please let me know if this group ever opens its doors to other students. Thanks ๐
Hi I am looking at enrolling my son and I was wondering if we were to get all the paper work done today would he be able to start online school this week sometime?
Hi, Casey. Classes start every two weeks, with one block starting today. Generally, if you got your son enrolled in courses today he would start Monday, February 8, but give us a call at 480.456.6678. We are always happy to discuss your needs and see what we can do for your son. Thanks for the question. ๐
