The Panther Post features work from talented Primavera students with a love for the arts. This month, we’re sharing a moving poem written by Primavera student Mickayla West, a junior here at Primavera, talking about overcoming life’s trials. Her work was shared in a recent Book Club meeting, where members voted on her story to be featured in this month’s Panther Post! Check it out below.

“I have an open mind and am very observant. My poem is called Remedy (as in a healing source or new beginning). It was just kind of something that popped into my head and I decided to write it down. To some people it may not seem like a positive thing and to others it may. It just depends on your mood and your view!”
-Mickayla West, junior, Book Club member

Remedy

When we met,

I had no idea

He would be

The Catalyst…

For the end

Of everything,

But I still

Let him take my

Hand…
