At Primavera, we provide our students with the tools needed not only to graduate, but to excel while in high school. You could be looking to catch up on classes or even graduate early, and that’s why we have special resources that allow you to leave Primavera with even more than just a fully-accredited diploma.

Did you know that just by being an Arizona student, you have the right to have an Education and Career Action Plan (ECAP) created for you? Chances are, you may not have even heard of an ECAP, and that’s why the Guidance Department is here for you with our College & Career Specialists.

What’s an ECAP?

An ECAP is a state-mandated written plan that helps you decide what your future goals are, whether they are attending college first,  jumping straight into a career or even joining the military. When you start getting closer to obtaining your diploma, our College & Career Specialists can help you determine what you want to do with your life, and work with you to create a plan so you can accomplish your goals.

Why do I want an ECAP?

You may know exactly what you you want to do after you graduate, or you may have no clue. Either way, an ECAP can help you! If you think you already have your future plans set, talk with a College & Career Specialist. She can help you write out a timeline, and give you important information such as applying for scholarships, obtaining financial aid or crushing that job interview. If you are still undecided, a guidance counselor from the College & Career Specialists would love to sit down with you, figure out your passions and strengths and help you plan your future.

How do I get an ECAP?

The answer is simple: Contact your guidance counselor! Chances are, your guidance counselor is a part of the College & Career Specialists and can work directly with you to set up an ECAP plan. If not, she will direct you to the right person so you can get started right away. If you are not sure how to contact your guidance counselor, go ahead and call us at 480.456.6678; we will be sure to direct you to the right person.
