At Primavera, there are several ways to get connected with your classmates and make friends! One of the best ways to meet classmates who share your same interests is by joining a club. We have over 11 online student clubs for you to choose from, so you can be sure to find one (or more!) that’s right for you.
If you love photography, drawing, painting or even creating DIY crafts at home, consider joining Primavera’s Art Club. From online student club meetings to in person events and getting your work featured on the official blog, the Art Club has something for just about everybody! Read on to learn more about the club leadership and planned events happening this year.
Meet the Art Club Advisor, Ms. Abdu
Ms. Abdu is an electives instructor here at Primavera who has a love for all forms of art. Last year, Ms. Abdu volunteered to be the club advisor so that she could better connect with her students here at Primavera. Since then, she has expanded the club from photography to all art, added in more club events and even helped start a blog series to let club members have their work featured on Primavera’s blog! All of this was an effort to help students who love art grow their talents, as Ms. Abdu said.
“I teach art, I live art, I am an artist,” said Ms. Abdu. “What better way to connect with students than to see young artists, art historians and art lovers grow and develop?”
What Will be Happening With the Art Club This Year?
Last year, the club gathered together and attended fun events, such as the First Fridays and walking down Roosevelt Row in Downtown Phoenix together.
This year, the club will be enjoying even more club events of their own, and All School Events happening throughout the school year. Check out the list below to see what kinds of events you can enjoy through the Art Club!

Get Your Work Featured Through the Art Club
With the Art Club, you can view fellow Panther’s artwork, and have your work featured as well! Every month, students will meet online to discuss famous art and artists, and they will also present their own artwork. You will also have the opportunity for your work to be published on the Art Club blog series, so you can show off your art published on an actual website!
If you’re not one who loves to draw or take photos, don’t worry. There are plenty of students who enjoy a variety of art, including music, theater, glass blowing and more. If it has an art element, it counts!
