At Primavera, we have talented, hard-working students who are dedicated to getting their high school diploma online. In this Student Spotlight series, we shine the light on a few of our exceptional Primavera Panthers.

Taylor Treloar, 17, 12th grade

Taylor Treloar is a Primavera student who loves hiking, baking, yoga, writing, photography and traveling. On top of all of her exciting hobbies, Taylor is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana!

Taylor moved over to Arizona in her early teens, and told us the transition into another public school was rough for her. Oftentimes, Taylor felt excluded in her old school because she was different.

“My old school was huge. The classes were huge and there was not any individualized attention,” said Taylor. The kids at my school were never the nicest since I did not grow up in this town… I also didn’t like going to school for seven hours, then coming home and doing homework for five hours. It was way too stressful.”

After the second semester ended, Taylor enrolled in one of our four-week summer courses. She told us that she loved it so much she switched to Primavera full time, and is loving interacting with her classmates here!

“With leaving public school, I no longer had to have the negative people who I did not see eye to eye with in my life! Now that I do online school, I have so much more time to do the things I love,” said Taylor.

Since she came to Primavera, Taylor’s seen a lot of extra added benefits, like fitting in time for traveling. She’s even going to graduate early!

“With Primavera, I kind of set my own schedule. I can do my schoolwork at 6 a.m. or 9 p.m. and it does not matter either way,” said Taylor. “Also, I can do my schoolwork from anywhere with Wifi, which is good because I travel a lot! Without having to eat lunch at school, I have now become a vegetarian and spend a lot more time cooking now.”

After getting her diploma with Primavera, Taylor plans to work for a bit until she goes to college in the fall at Auburn University in Alabama where she wants to major in nursing.

“Primavera helps me succeed by providing me with a quality, flexible education. I absolutely love Primavera. Switching to online school was the best decision of my life and I have no regrets.”
